“Hailing from Manchester with roots in the Cumbrian north, Werkha (real name Tom Leah) and his foot stomping, jazz inflected beats have been gracing the airwaves for the best part of a decade.
Influenced as much by the rolling fells surrounding his village home as those hot sweaty times we share on the dancefloor. Werkha makes music for those crucial moments, the ones that make us feel connected as humans. When the bustle of city life comes up against the steadiness of rural perspective.
Fascinated by this dichotomy, it’s the interrelationship between these two worlds and how they weave together that inspires Werkha to write. This push and pull is reflected both in his process and in the music. Striving to make something which straddles both worlds, Werkha creates dance music with a head and a heart.”
Don’t miss your chance to catch Werkha on his home turf!

London based DJ/Producer Alex Klein is a founding member of the Submit family and also runs the Octagon Music Studio in South London and it’s sister label Dream Diary.
His debut EP ‘First Relic’ for Submit takes inspiration from ancient archaeology, especially sites around the world that seem to show advanced stonework beyond what was believed capable at the time. Parallels of this can be heard among the compositions, with shamanic vocal chops that counter skippy, resonant synthesis.
Underpinning the release is an abundance of analogue percussion (jammed live and on the fly) giving a hint of his impressive ability as a live performer. The record is pristinely mixed-down and demonstrates a breadth of technical ability many years in the making.

“Born and raised in North West London, India was immersed in music both at home and while frequenting concerts from a tender age. She owes her affinity for the capital to the Roundhouse for quickly becoming her favourite place and inspiring her to remain in London after attending several of the young creative courses.
Released in July 2021, India’s debut EP, Inertia explores shimmering, electronic-tinged soul, with Raf’s bleeding-edge production proving the perfect foil for India’s limber, jazz-inflected tones. Whether it’s the rippling R&B on ‘Waves’, or gliding over the low-slung hip hop grooves of ‘Go Slow’, this trend continues on the follow-up, currently slated for release in 2022. Stylistically bolder than its predecessor, it finds India luxuriating in low-key R&B productions and producing deeply percussive, soul-tinged bops while pushing her pen beyond the ideas of relationships and self-sabotage as expressed on Inertia.”

Orla will be performing a 20-minute solo dance performance, which will take the audience on an intimate journey through experiences and feelings of growing up in a small village in the Lake District. Orla will float in and out of different sensations, memories and emotions that the rural landscape has provoked, touching on the curious and tactile experiences as a child, the restriction and isolation felt as a teen, and moments in between. The solo will be set to original music, composed by Molagon, an independent musician based in the Lake District. His ethereal soundscapes and groovy rhythms, teamed with the scattered narrative of the piece and the exploration of real experiences that young people face in rural areas, will create an experience that is both very strange and very real.
